Lone Star Throwdown was once again a killer show for builders, shops, and the community. LST reliably brings together sick builds that show real planning, problem-solving, and follow-through, not just surface-level polish. Where style and performance meet. That’s exactly where we want to be.
BUILT WITH INTENT
This year’s show featured a huge range of trucks and Restomod classics, many of them clearly designed to be more than display pieces. We love to see a good daily driver. Clean routing, smart engineering, and systems that worked together stood out just as much as paint quality and stance.

When we are at shows we always scope out any builds that feature our products, like this 1965 Dodge D100 we found – showing off the PODS Controls in Synister Black, with 4X Diablo Mini w/Capscrews Halo Vent, also in our signature Synister Black.

The Hexagon pattern on the bed and details in the dash, as well as the leather detail work on the seats caught our eye and made us do a double take, bearing a strong resemblance to the pattern on our Membrane Thermal insulator & Sound Damper.
Killer work.
BEST OF SHOW
One of the highlights of the weekend was the Best of Show award, which went to Ed Ganzinotti of Classic Car Studio for their 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, Double Down.
Under the hood, the Charger is powered by a Dick Landy–built 440ci V8, now upgraded with Borla stacked injection, a custom Hogan intake, and Holley Terminator-X engine management — delivering serious performance along with unmistakable visual presence. The car was completely reengineered around a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with a 4-inch forward wheelbase, paired with RideTech coilovers, Baer 6-piston brakes, and extensive metal fabrication throughout.
Finished in BASF Glasurit paint and matched with a fully custom Classic Car Studio interior, Double Down struck a balance that’s difficult to achieve: aggressive without excess, refined without losing attitude, and cohesive from front to back. Every major decision supported the whole, which is exactly why it stood out in a field full of high-level builds.
Hard fought win, and well deserved. Killer build.
TALKIN' SHOP
We also had the opportunity to display Restomod Air’s new DER controls, giving builders and shops a chance to get hands-on with the latest additions to our lineup.
Seeing the interest and hearing feedback directly from people who are actively building reinforced why we design and develop the way we do: clean integration, killer design, and systems built to accentuate the interior.
We appreciate everyone who stopped by to talk projects, ideas, and solutions over the weekend. Shows like LST help keep standards moving in the right direction.
Now it’s back to the shop — until the next one.
