This 1967-72 Ford Truck Membrane kit contains 13 sheets of Membrane 5mm (the original) and 6 sheets of Membrane Max 8mm (greater thermal protection). Each sheet is 18″ X 31.5″. This kit also comes with 4 rolls of Membrane tape and 1 application roller to get your installation up and going.
MEMBRANE 5MM
Restomod Air’s Membrane 5mm material is designed to be installed on the floor cab, door panels, and back wall of your 1967-72 Ford Truck. Membrane’s insulation material has sound-deadening properties that create a perfect barrier for blocking out noise from the road. It is able to effectively prevent unwanted noise, vibrations, and any disturbances the road throws at you due to its 4 layers of protection. Not only does Membrane 5mm block sound it also helps keep your cab cool because it is a thermal insulator.
Designed for the floor cab, door panels, and back wall Membrane 5mm material gives you the protection you are looking for sound deadening and easy installation. The 2mm Butyl Layer is for vibration damping and is proven to quiet the noise and rattles your vehicle produces. Membrane can be applied anywhere to block out the outside noise. Membrane’s 3mm of closed-cell installation foam rubber does a lot. When applied to your floor, doors, and back wall there is a significant decrease in temperatures. MEMBRANE 8MM
We know that vehicles need to be insulated for air conditioning systems to operate efficiently, therefore we designed our own thermal firewall insulation material to handle the issue, simply because there is no product offered, until now. Restomod Air’s Membrane 8mm material is designed to be placed on the firewall and roof of your 1967-72 Ford Truck. This is where most of the heat enters your truck.
Basically, insulating the interior of your vehicle. Clearly, we are a manufacturer of air conditioning systems, kits, and parts, but we noticed that most custom car builders thought the “sound dampening” material they were using also blocked out the heat. Don’t just hush it, block it!
APPLICATION ROLLER
The Membrane application Hand Roller allows for even pressure of Membrane Thermal Insulator and Sound Dampening Material, minimizes air bubbles, and achieves the best adhesion. Features black wooden grip handle with the Membrane logo, clear green solid rubber roller. This application Hand Roller by Restomod Air is made of rubber and wood. Allows the user to easily install Membrane Thermal Insulator and Sound Dampening Material and is designed to eliminate fatigue.
MEMBRANE TAPE
Membrane Tape by Restomod Air is an aluminum foil tape that is in our one-of-a-kind Membrane pattern with an adhesive backing. Membrane Tape matches your freshly installed Membrane Thermal Insulator and Sound Dampening Material, designed to seal the seams of two pieces of our 5mm or 8mm thick Membrane Material.
Membrane tape easily contours to irregularities on a panel and will help prevent any butyl from getting in unwanted places, while giving your overall installation a completed finish with no black seams. Membrane Tape improves Membrane and Membrane Max’s ability to block heat and noise. Remember, don’t just hush it, block it! Easy to use, just peel and stick Membrane Tape to any seam of Membrane to get that clean professional look you desire.
Each roll of Membrane Tape consists of 2” x 42’ of material. 2 rolls per Membrane box normally gets the job done and being 2” wide you get the maximum amount of coverage needed to close any gaps in Membrane material and gives you the confidence that you will grab enough of each seam of Membrane.
MEMBRANE AND MEMBRANE MAX ARE DIFFERENT
Membrane and Membrane Max are real thermal protection. Membrane’s 3mm and Membrane Max 6mm of closed-cell insulation foam rubber do a lot. When applied, there is a significant decrease in temperatures inside the cab. We also found that custom car builders were using a standard “sound deadening” material in their builds, and were unaware that it did not provide adequate temperature adjustments from the outside elements.
