ARCLIGHT FAB

Restomod Films stopped in at Arclight Fab, Grand Prairie Texas to visit with Aaron Kaufman and learn what he has going on. The conversation was interesting, to say the least. Kaufman’s outlook on life leaves you feeling good about your own possibilities and potential.

Aarons interest in hotrods and fab work runs deep in his blood. Always having an interest in the industry his move towards it as a career was an easy decision. One that paid off. Working in a machine shop after high school Aaron learned the ins and outs of metal fabrication with minimum supervision.

“AN ABSOLUTE BLESSING TO BE A PART OF IT ALL”

Meeting Richard they both had a firm understanding of where the potential for success would be. Wanting to work on exciting builds Aaron knew that Richards’s vision of fame and notoriety could bring the possibility of killer projects to the scene. But the original concept of a travel show never took off. So, Aaron went back to just the norm of the day-to-day. Then once again Richard popped back into the picture with a brand-new idea for what would become Fast and Loud. And two weeks later they were shooting the show.

Success came fast, and with a fury. With the demand and popularity of the TV show, they were able to gain the ability to build the car that they wanted to build. With a healthy budget on the builds, the only stipulation was they had to be built extremely fast. TV fast! But as with all things after 5 years it came to an end. With Aarons’s desire to do his own thing he decided that he had to leave the show. Looking back Aaron says it was an absolute blessing to be a part of it all. A lifetime worth of car builds in 5 years.

Television wasn’t done with Aaron just yet. With his show Shifting Gears, it became about building vehicles for an experience rather than a buy-sell format. Very excited about building for competition racing and being built for a show often pushed to finish the build at the event.

The second oldest race in the country has Aaron hooked nowadays. The event Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) is known as the Race to the Clouds. The track is 12.42 miles with over 156 turns and climbs 4,720 ft from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,115 ft, on grades averaging 7.2%. 2022 is the 100th running of Pikes Peak and Aaron is going to be racing the event.

We look forward to seeing his success at the event and whatever else holds for his future. Truly a good dude. To see more of Aaron’s story check out our YouTube channel here.
